For Children
Please help us keep the Children's Area a PEANUT FREE ZONE.There are a number of children who have allergies and need us to maintain a safe environment for them to enjoy the library. We ask that you make sure your child does not have any peanut product on the day they come for program, and to keep the peanut butter off the lunch menu when they are bringing a lunch or snack to a program. Thank You!

Mother Goose (Returning in September 2010)
Mother Goose is a fun program for babies and toddlers that combines language, books, illustration, music, movement, drama and creative interaction designed to foster emergent literacy skills. Moms, Dads, Grandparents and Care Providers are welcome to bring their little ones (up to age 3) to sing, dance, listen, move, make music and enjoy the whole experience of learning while having fun.
Our program is a free drop-in but due to space restrictions, only the first twenty pairs (adult and child) will be admitted. There will be no admission after 10:10 am to avoid disruption to the program. Admittance is on a first come, first served basis. The library reserves the right to limit the number of participants. This activity is not suitable for large groups, such as a daycare.
For more information, contact Mrs. Kirby in the Children's Department at (613) 394-3381 ext. 3311.
